Uptown Denver is located directly east of the Downtown district and north of Capitol Hill. Historically, the neighborhood was known for its “fresh dry mountain air” and was a central hub for healthcare facilities within the city.
Many of the hospitals and medical buildings remain, albeit renovated. The Presbyterian/St. Luke’s hospital, Kaiser Permanente, and St. Joseph’s medical centers are located here, employing a vast number of Uptown residents.
In addition to its medical background, Uptown is also defined by its friendly and eclectic restaurants, neighborhood stores, and retailers.
