The Lowry neighborhood lies east of central Denver. Named after war hero Francis Lowry in 1923 it was originally a National Guard Base, then a US Army Airfield.
Since the relocation of the airfield in 1966, Lowry has undergone a radical transformation. While the Wings Over The Rockies Air Museum remains a testament to its past, today Lowry is a master-planned community of over 800 acres of newly developed homes, public space, and parks.
