This neighborhood hosts numerous events throughout the year to bring the community together, and neighbors are always eager to help each other out. With plenty of dining destinations and attractions to visit, it's a worthwhile place to live and play.
Dining, Entertainment & Shopping
Gabe's Cafe is a popular spot for breakfast and brunch. An old-fashioned skillet, steak and eggs, breakfast sandwich, and breakfast tacos are just a few offerings among a long list of menu choices. Chicken strips, salads, a BLT, patty melt, chicken fried steak sandwiches, burgers, and wraps make up a portion of the lunch selections.
What started as a fan-favorite food truck in the area became a favored dining establishment. Butcher & The Blonde brings street food to the table. Dine indoors or on the patio. Tijuana street fries, pork carnitas tacos, a Cuban sandwich, and kale and quinoa caesar salad are a few of the recommended choices.
The Styria Catering & German Deli is the best spot in town for takeout. The renowned chef has cooked for people all over the world, including Queen Elizabeth. Smoked brat pretzels, a schnitzel burger, a salmon roll, and Blackforest cake are just a few crowd favorites.
Many patrons grocery shop in town but head outside of Frederick for upscale selections. The less-than-30-minute drive to places like Longmont provides access to shopping malls and centers such as Village at the Peaks and Old Town Marketplace, where numerous storefronts fill the vicinity. Village at the Peaks is especially well-loved for its entertainment options. There is an included movie theater and several salons.
Things to Do
Throughout the year, countless events are held in Frederick to bring the community together. Attend the ones that pique your interest most, or check out each and enjoy the unique experience. Frederick In Flight typically occurs in June, giving patrons the opportunity to join the Glow party and watch hot air balloons lift off. A few other possibilities include a Community Tour & Talk, Chainsaws & Chuckwagons event, Miners Day, and Festival of Lights in December.
The Miners Memorial Museum is a great place to visit if you enjoy history. It was finally declared a historic landmark in 2012 and sits within Frederick's Crist Park. This park is where people find the beloved bear statue and other wood carvings that make for a fun photo op. It's a wonderful place to explore and enjoy being outdoors.
The Bella Rosa Golf Course is a shared destination of Frederick and Longmont. Many patrons enjoy tee time here. There are even leagues to join and events held regularly. Plus, there is a golf shop and a restaurant on-site so that you can enjoy your day out. Special glow ball events, family golf days, couples nights out, and more give you plenty to consider when considering joining the club.
