Suburban Mountains

Welcome to Boulder Suburban Mountains

To the west of the City of Boulder are several “mountain subdivisions” of homes. Some of these subdivisions are master planned such as Pine Brook Hills while others are a collection of lots created as the result of old mining claims such as can be found in the Sugarloaf area.

Most often, these mountain homes have individual water wells, septic systems, and tanked propane as the primary fuel. Most of these homes have electricity provided by a public utility company. The availability and quality of Internet and mobile cell service are important to understand in purchasing a mountain property, particularly if these are services that you depend on.

School buses have routes through these mountain neighborhoods and essential services such as weekly trash pick-up are available.  Even the nuances of the direction that your driveway faces and other attributes of your drive.

If you have never lived in the mountains, best to ask questions.
